This project was about updating an existing HW button remote control, used throughout hospitals i Germany, to a device with a touch screen. The device is what you would normally find besides your bed as a patient to control TV, Radio, blinds, lights etc and call for assistance and send alarms. There was extensive user testing and many iterations since the UI relies on iconery to a great extent rather than text duet to the small screen . The dark theme was chosen for a more discrete look and feel to match the black plastic of the casing.
